One Business App can be run from multiple devices: phones, tablets, laptops and desktops. It can also be run in online mode (via a web browser) or offline mode (in a local app), it can even be run in offline mode and sync with the online version either manually or automatically.

Benefits of running online

One Business App Online is considered a SaaS product. SaaS stands for "Software as a Service". The main benefit of SaaS is that it is quick and easy to setup and your instructor sees 'exactly' what you see, so it is easy for them to offer help and advice.

Benefits of running offline

One Business App will run natively on any iOS device as well as on a Mac or Win PC. Running natively effectively means it runs "locally" and it can access a lot of the local services of the device. The main benefits of running locally are speed (it runs much faster), privacy (it is easier to control who has access) and of course you can run it without an internet connection.

Our recommendation

We recommend customers use both approaches, in parallel. Start with One Business App Online so that you can get a feel for how it works. Stick to sample data (or washed data) if you are concerned about your information getting into the wrong hands. Then when you are ready to "go live" you can simply open a local version of One Business App and replace the sample data with your real data. As long as the format is exactly the same it should be a simple exercise.
